The second edition of the Tunisie Challenge now has a greatly improved route building on the itinerary of the inaugural edition. The event will take place from October 28 to November 3.
The Tunisie Challenge Winter Edition will start in the coastal town of Sousse on October 29 and end on November 3 on the delightful island of Djerba, a popular international holiday destination. We disembark in Tunisia on the 27th and the following day will be used to complete both the administrative and technical verifications.
The first stage of this itinerary, which is about sixty percent new, will take us from Sousse to Matmata, following the ‘Star Wars’ route, where we will visit another of its mythical settings. This stage will be just an appetizer for what awaits us, since in the second stage we enter the desert and will have the town of Douz as our headquarters for the next two days.
As we approach Douz, the sand and dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental will take center stage for three spectacular circuits in a setting that was decisive in the first edition and that wreaked havoc across all categories. In this regard, we must remind you that the routes will be adapted, as always, to each category.
The penultimate stage will end at Ksar Ghilane, where we stay overnight in a bivouac, providing plenty of opportunities for participants to mingle and catch up on the week’s events. In any case, we must warn you that there will be no lack of difficulties to overcome and everyone will be able to satisfy their spirit of adventure, finally ending up in Djerba where we can rest and recover from our efforts enjoying a well-deserved rest on this Mediterranean island.
