The next edition of the Tunisie Challenge, which will be held from October 9 to 18, 2024, boasts many new features.  Following the recons we can now share with you a preview of what is becoming an increasingly exciting event.

We will have two completely new stages and three renewed stages.  The general level of difficulty has increased slightly as we have added quite a few more kilometres to the stages, aiming to be a more demanding and unforgettable adventure for all our participants.

Firstly, it should be noted that this fourth edition’s planned route will begin at the northernmost geographical point of the African continent, Cape Angela, near the city of Bizerte.  From there it will head down towards the south of Tunisia, ending, as is now traditional, on the island of Djerba.  This itinerary will be one of the most varied we have designed and is a complete novelty compared to the usual formats other events stick to in Tunisia.

This edition promises to follow the most diverse itineraries and terrain.  We will begin by exploring the northern coast of the country, where participants will enjoy driving along cliffs, white sand beaches with crystal clear waters and large coastal dunes, offering challenges similar to those that we will later encounter in the desert dunes.

To reach the gateway to the desert, we will have to cross plains, dry rivers and lakes, canyons, and the first sandy tracks.  We will pass iconic places used as locations for the legendary Star Wars film saga and numerous places of great historical and cultural relevance.

The event will later enter the Great Eastern Erg, where you will face all the difficulties and challenges that the dunes have to offer.  Participants will be able to enjoy a night in a camp located in the middle of the desert before finishing once more with a spectacular seashore stretch on the island of Djerba.
